As this pandemic worsens, we hope that everyone is safe and healthy. We, as your dry cleaner, are open to support the community in preventing the spread of the virus.

According to the World Health Organization, many bacteria, viruses, and protozoa are inactivated at 70°C, or 158°F. Although there is no concrete temperature currently set by the CDC for COVID-19, other similar coronaviruses such as SARS and MERS were sterilized at 150°F. 

Since household appliances do not reach 158°F (most will go up to only 135°F), professional dry cleaning and laundry are your best defense. Both the CDC and WHO acknowledge professional cleaning services, which includes cleaning and pressing, are effective for most viruses. (*The steam used for pressing and finishing garments and household linens exceeds 300°F.)
